Technical Lead

Docaposte Maroc — CDI

Hands-on technical leadership across frontend platforms, web applications, and the modernization of legacy systems.

  • Own the architecture, development, performance, code quality, and technical standards of a company-wide frontend component platform.
  • Built and evolved Cobalt, a shared component library with approximately 25–30 reusable components, used by Sefas applications including Designer, Eaccess, EDG, and Conductor.
  • Define the development standards used by frontend teams, including component design, coding practices, code quality, and architecture.
  • Design modern frontend systems that work with legacy Dojo applications and legacy data models, without having to build and maintain completely separate applications.
  • Introduced a component-based architecture that separates resource management, rendering, and serialization.
  • Changed parts of the frontend architecture from Angular components to native Web Components for highly interactive editors, solving performance and reliability issues.
  • Identified problems with Angular's change detection for complex editors such as paragraphs, tables, and images, and led the move to a more direct component model. This approach made development faster, reduced reported bugs, and made the code easier to maintain and debug.
  • Reduced an Angular application bundle from approximately 1.2 MB to 300 KB through architecture and bundle optimization.
  • Designed a granular document update system that sends only the changed JSON data and its target index, instead of sending the full document each time.
  • Developed backend features for role management, including listing and managing user roles.
  • Optimized slow backend APIs — especially those listing roles and permissions — cutting response times from several seconds down to milliseconds.
  • Continue to write and review production code while providing technical direction to a team of approximately 4–5 developers.
  • Mentor developers, review implementations, define technical standards, and make architecture decisions for the team.
  • Investigate difficult frontend and browser problems involving rendering, synchronization, editing, integration, and performance.
  • Design and maintain CI/CD workflows and development practices.

Software Engineer

Gemography — CDI
  • Designed and developed solutions across mobile, web, and backend systems.
  • Checked the technical feasibility of new features and integrations before implementation.
  • Refactored application code to improve maintainability and reliability.
  • Worked across frontend and backend systems to deliver product features.
  • Investigated technical issues and improved system reliability.
  • Identified a performance bottleneck in the Bulldozair blueprint viewer, where large building blueprints caused major loading issues, and proposed a Leaflet-based tiling architecture with a message queue to pre-generate rasters per zoom level, resolving the bottleneck.
  • Built a proof-of-concept mobile app in Flutter to show that the existing Android app could be refactored to simplify long-term maintenance.

Fullstack Developer

Penny Inc. — Freelance
  • Developed backend features including user management, data processing, and third-party integrations.
  • Developed frontend and mobile application features, including the mobile app built with React Native.
  • Worked across application layers to implement features and solve technical problems.
  • Improved application performance, reliability, and security.

Selected systems

Cobalt — Design System Component Library

Company-wide component library with approximately 25–30 reusable components, used as the frontend foundation for multiple Sefas applications.

Designer

Document design and editing application that combines new frontend components with a legacy Dojo architecture and a specialized document/PDF engine.

Conductor

Frontend application and orchestration layer developed as part of the modernization of the existing application platform.

Eaccess / EDG

Applications using the shared Cobalt component platform.

Technical profile

Frontend architecture

Design and development of component-based frontend systems, with a focus on clear separation of responsibilities, reusable components, framework isolation, and maintainability.

Legacy modernization

Modernize existing applications without requiring a complete rewrite. Experience introducing modern frontend architectures while working alongside legacy applications and data models.

Performance

Focus on bundle size, rendering, framework overhead, synchronization, network traffic, and unnecessary code. Reduced a production Angular bundle from approximately 1.2 MB to 300 KB and replaced some Angular components with native Web Components.

Complex editors

Experience building frontend architectures for document editors where normal application data synchronization can cause performance and correctness problems.

Technical leadership

Hands-on technical leadership covering architecture, coding, code review, debugging, performance, standards, documentation, and mentoring.

Component platforms

Owner and architect of a company-wide component library with approximately 25–30 reusable components, used by multiple Sefas applications and designed to support future applications.
